Brussels needs middle class

BRUSSELS — The government of Brussels should try to attract more people, especially those with a medium-range income to settle in Brussels, the city’s “People’s Representative” Carla Dejonghe said.

“The middle class often earn too much to be eligible for the social housing and too little to purchase good quality housing in Brussels”, Dejonghe said.

She said more funds and efforts should be invested in affordable housing for the middle class.
