Brussels metro service stopped

BRUSSELS – A woman fell onto the tracks at the Brussels Louiza metro station at about 11.20 this morning. Service on line 2 between the Munthof and Naamsepoort stations was stopped and the Louiza station was evacuated.

Brussels transport company MIVB is operating buses between the Hallepoort and Troon metro stations.

The woman is dead, but the MIVB could not yet say how the accident occurred. The fire brigade and the police came to the scene.
