Brussels gets new pollution meter

3 May 2004

BRUSSELS – Brussels residents will soon be able to tell at a glance how clean the city’s air is thanks to a newly installed pollution meter, it was reported on Monday.

The new meter has been set up at the Delta metro station. It is the first of seven such devices that will be installed around the city, Brussels authorities have confirmed.

Regular air quality bulletins for Brussels have been available for sometime on the website of Belgium’s national environment agency.
