Brussels building collapses onto street

BRUSSELS – The side of a building under construction collapsed sending tonnes of rubble spewing onto onto a busy Brussels street Thursday morning in the Anderlecht district.

No reasons were given for the cause of the incident, in which no-one was reported injured and which occured at 11.30am at the corners of the Chausse de Ninove and the rue Achille Jonas.

The immediate area is closed to traffic while clean up and safety work continues through into Friday.
