Boy dies in stolen car

BRUSSELS – A 14-year-old boy died in Antwerp on Friday night during a serious accident with a stolen car. At about 9.00 p.m. the Ford Fiesta he was in missed a turn on the Hardenvoort in Antwerpen-Noord and hit a bridge support at high speed.

Three minors were in the car, which had been stolen from the centre of Antwerp on Thursday. The17-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger were pulled from the wreck by the fire brigade and brought to hospital with serious injuries. Nothing could be done for the 14-year-old passenger however.
