Boy attacked by rottweilers

7 May 2007

LOMMEL – Two rottweilers attacked a 14-year-old boy on the Eltenbos in Lommel on Saturday at about 5 pm.

The boy had done a few odd jobs for a family that he often visited. The family had four rottweilers, two young dogs and two older ones. After his work the boy was playing with the dogs.

At a certain point the boy was bitten in the calf, causing him to stumble. The two younger dogs then bit him at the back of his head, his arm, his side and his back. Emergency services took the boy to hospital. He was released after a number of stitches.

The owners of the dogs had the two younger animals put down after the incident.
