BRUSSELS – A shopping centre in Ghent was evacuated on Tuesday morning after emergency services received a bomb warning.

At 10.15am, a caller speaking in English told 101 operators that a bomb was timed to explode at Gent Zuid, on Woodrow Wilsonplein, at 10.30am.

Around 200 people left the centre and gathered in front of the building while police searched it.

No bomb was found and the centre was reopened at 11.10am.
