Big bonuses at InBev

BRUSSELS – Carlos Brito, CEO of InBev NV, whose products include Jupiler, Stella Artois, Beck’s and Bass, received a basic salary of EUR 700,000 in 2006, plus a bonus of EUR 3.2 million. This is contained in the annual report that the Belgian-Brazilian beer producer published on its website on Monday.
Brito succeeded John Brock as CEO in December 2005.
According to the annual report the other members of the board received total of EUR 3.9 million in salaries and EUR 9 million in bonuses. The bonus will be paid out in April. Brito heads a management board of seven directors and six area chairmen.
InBev also announced its results for 2006. It sold 246.5 million hectolitres of beer last year, compared to 223.5 million 2005. Turnover increased from EUR 11,656 million to 13,308 million.
