Beyonce to hold Belgium concert after cancelling show

Pop diva Beyonce promised her fans a great concert Wednesday evening in Antwerp saying she was feeling “much better” after cancelling a show in the Belgian city the previous day due to exhaustion and dehydration.

“I’ve never postponed a show in my life. It was very hard for me,” the 31-year-old singer said in a handwritten note to her “dearest fans in Antwerp”, published on her facebook page.

“Thank you for your concern. I’m feeling much better now and I am ready to give you a great show,” she wrote, after apologising for disappointing her fans.

On the advice of her doctors, who found her “exhausted and dehydrated”, Beyonce on Tuesday cancelled her concert, which was scheduled to take place in front of 15,000 spectators.

Organisers confirmed that Wednesday’s scheduled concert would take place, and said they were still looking for a new date to hold the cancelled show.

The cancellation came amid widespread media speculation that Beyonce may be pregnant with her second child.

The singer is on her “Mrs Carter World Tour” which has seen her performing her high-energy shows to audiences across Europe in the past few weeks. She still has some 40 performances ahead of her.
