BRUSSELS – Anne Malherbe, the Belgian wife of Ecuador’s president Correa, has said the immigration policy in Belgium is “hypocritical” and accuses Belgium of “Gestapo practices.”
In an interview with a Spanish press agency Malherbe once again expressed her anger at how Ana Cajamarca and her 11-year-old daughter Angelica have been treated. “It just isn’t acceptable to allow an 11-year-old girl to go to school for five years and then take her into custody and lock her up just as the summer holiday begins. That sounds like the practices of the Gestapo.”
Malherbe added that she hopes that the next Belgian government will set up a policy “that is less violent to children.”
