Belgium find Man City football star bad Kompany

BRUSSELS- Kompany was given permission to attend his grandmother’s funeral but returned to the team hotel late on Monday evening and was told by coach Dick Advocaat to pack his bags, Le Soir reported.

The Belgian football federation refused to comment on the affair when contacted on Tuesday.

Kompany had already fallen foul of Advocaat when turning up for a pre-match tactical session before Saturday’s friendly against Hungary.

The player was reduced to sitting on the bench for that game in Ghent.

Belgium play Qatar in an international friendly in the French city of Sedan later on Tuesday.
