BRUSSELS –Belgium’s heir to the throne and his wife are expecting another child in October.
Belgian heir to the throne, Prince Philippe, and his wife Princess Mathilde announced the pregnancy on Thursday.
“The prince and princess are happy to be giving a little brother or sister to Princess Elisabeth, born in Brussels October 25, 2001, and to Prince Gabriel, born in Brussels August 20, 2003,” said an official statement.
The new baby will be fourth in line to the Belgian throne, after his sister and brother.
Prince Philippe, who will turn 45 on Friday, is the eldest son of King Albert II and first in line to take over the Belgian royal household.
