BRUSSELS – Belgium’s population rose by more than 40,000 people between July 2003 and July 2004, it was reported Thursday.
Belgian press agency Belga said that Belgium’s population rose to 10.4 million during that time, an increase of 44,653 people.
The Brussels capital region accounted for the greatest increase during that time of 0.71 percent, compared to 0.40 percent for the Flemish and Wallonian regions.
