BRUSSELS – Belgians are the richest citizens of the 12-nation eurozone, according to a new survey published on Thursday.
The study was carried out by market research group GfK Ad Research and the results were published on Thursday in the daily “l’Echo.”
The survey reveals that nearly 25 percent of the Belgian population own more than EUR 50,000-worth of property investments.
Belgian investors also take an optimistic view of the next twelve months, with 23 percent expecting their savings to rise.
This translates into 26 percent of Flemish investors, followed by 22 percent of Brussels inhabitants and 18 percent of French-speaking Belgians counting on an increase over the next year.
