“Attack on school director was planned”

BRUSSELS — Pierre Jacquet, the school director stabbed by a student last Monday in Dinant, made his first public statement today.

Jacquet sent his condolences to the parents of Bart, the young man killed in Ostend last weekend.

Jacquet feels better and hopes to leave the hospital this weekend. He says he does not think there is more violence at schools than before, but definitely sees more problems in the communication between teachers and students.

The director added that the attack on him had been planned.
