BRUSSELS – Almost 70 percent of Flemish residents (69.66 percent) do not think that Brussels should remain the capital of Flanders. No fewer than 94.47 percent of these people think Antwerp should take this honour.
This emerged from a survey by La Libre Belgique.
Twenty-eight percent of Flemish respondents said that Brussels should remain the capital.
The respondents were also asked their opinion regarding services for French-speakers in the Brussels periphery. Almost half (49.16 percent) of the Flemish respondents said they were in support of keeping those facilities in place.
