BRUSSELS – A clinic in Antwerp is under investigation after being suspected of using stem cells to cure patients; a practice that remains illegal.
The tribunal did not release any information as this could interfere with the investigation proceedings.
The Belgian authorities had been alerted by a report from the BBC.
The BBC released the information on Wednesday, pointing out that one of the Doctors working at a Clinic in Antwerp had had legal problems in the UK and the Netherlands for using stem cells.
It appears stem cells were being used to treat multiple sclerosis.
