Belgian explorer Alain Hubert has spent the last month or so checking out his eco-friendly Antarctic base, bonding with his team of engineers and scientists and occasionally venturing outside of Brussels.
On Wednesday he will help to officially unveil the "Princess Elizabeth" base, currently housed in a huge hangar in the Belgian capital but soon bound for the frozen south to highlight the effects of climate change.
