Animal Liberation Front – police call for vigilance

The Federal Police has asked local police services to be vigilant after a resurgence in animal rights related vandalism. It is believed that the Animal Liberation Front was behind no fewer that 11 acts of vandalism last month.

5 Butchers shops in Limburg province were daubed with slogans in early January and several other retail outlets elsewhere have been vandalised in recent weeks.

Last weekend, there was an arson attack at the campus of Hasselt University.

The Animal Liberation Front was behind a series of Arson attacks on hamburger restaurants in the late 1990’s.
