BRUSSELS — All Walloon municipalities have been ordered to take steps to increase the safety for the so-called “weaker road users”, Metro Time writes. Walloon transport minister André Antoine has granted 8 million euros for the purpose.
Because the greatest problem remains speeding, a programme called “Plan Escargot” was started to help to reduce the speed of trucks and help increase the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
