The farewell note

AMSTERDAM — This is a translation of a letter police say was found on the 26-year-old suspect, Mohammed B., following the shooting and stabbing of filmmaker Theo van Gogh in Amsterdam on 2 November.

The suspect was wounded in the leg during a shootout with police before being arrested. Mohammed B. is currently being held in isolation and is not allowed to talk to anyone except his lawyer.

DIPPED IN BLOOD

This is then my last word…
Penetrated by bullets…
Dipped in blood…
As I hoped…

I leave a message behind…
For you… the fighter…
The Tree of Tawheed is awaiting…
Craving for your blood…
Accept the deal
And Allah will give you a clear path…
He will give you the Garden
In place of the earthly ruin.

To your enemy I also have something to say…
You will certainly come off badly…
Even if you go all around the world on tour…
Death will be your lure
With the Knights of DEATH at your heels…
Who will make the streets run red.

To the hypocrites I say this in conclusion:
Desire DEATH or else shut your mouth and… sit.

My good brothers and sisters I approach my end…
