Lover boys now known as pooier boys

THE HAGUE – Dutch Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin says he does not like the term ‘lover boys’ which is used to describe mostly teenage boys who pimp young girls.

He says the connotation gives too positive an impression.

The minister says the term ‘pooier boys’ should be used instead. Pooier means pimp.

Ballin did not explain why he could not think of a Dutch word for boy.
