Feyenoord defeat archrival Ajax 4-2

Feyenoord have comfortably beaten Ajax 4-2 in the Dutch premier league. It was the first time in six years that the Rotterdam club defeated their Amsterdam rivals in a home game.

Feyenoord had triple-scorer John Guidetti to thank for their victory in the De Kuip ‘The Tub’ Stadium on Sunday.

Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen scored the opening goal in the 15th minute. The answer came swiftly from Swedish striker Guidetti, who produced two goals before half time. Otman Bakkal netted a third for Feyenoord in the 49th minute, increasing their lead to two goals.

Dmitry Bulykin scored a second goal for Ajax, but John Guidetti had the final word and netted the deciding fourth goal for Feyenoord two minutes before the final whistle.
