On May 3rd, 1945 troops of the 2nd Belarusian Front mounted an offensive in Germany, cutting off escape routes for Nazi military forces. Soviet tanks and infantry crushed the enemy’s resistance, advancing for another 60 kilometers and merging with the allied British forces.
