US base on Okinawa to stay

Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama says that he will not relocate the US military base from Futenma to some place outside Okinawa. He told the Okinawa Governor Hirokazu Nakaimo that Japan should take account of the provisions of the country’s military agreement with Washington.
