Russia has hailed the outcome of Saturday’s ministerial talks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Meeting in Tashkent ahead of an SCO summit, due in June, the foreign ministers of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan discussed the situation in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan and approved a procedure for the admission of new members.
