Russia bans imports of Tajik nuts and dried fruits

Russia has banned nut and dried fruit imports from Tajikistan, where last week’s outbreak of poliomyelitis killed 12 people, medics said on Wednesday. A total of 170 poliomyelitis cases have been registered in Tajikistan over the past couple of weeks, according to the World Health Organization.
