New York police prevents terrorist act on Times Square

Police in New York have prevented a terrorist act on Times Square. The police were alerted to the square by a street vendor who detected smoke coming from a car parked nearby. Reports say the vehicle contained three canisters with propane, two with gasoline, an explosive device, a timing device and burned wire.
