Memory of Pushkin’s great grandfather Major-General Abraham Hannibal has been commemorated in the French city of La Fere. The academy, where General studied engineering, will have a memorial sign. The city will also host an exhibiton and a concert. Hannibal was sent to France by his god father Peter the Great in 1720.
