Flight carrying Navalny diverted to different Moscow airport: AFP

A flight carrying Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny back to Russia has been diverted away from a Moscow airport where his supporters and media had gathered, AFP journalists on the plane said.

The pilot on the flight from Berlin told passengers it would be landing at approximately 8:20 pm (1720 GMT) at Sheremetyevo airport instead of Vnukovo as planned.

Sheremetyevo is one of four international airports that serve Moscow.
