Exhibit Traces the History of Toilets and Hygiene

Muscovites complained about the smell of burning peat that spread over the city this summer, but there are far worse smells: What about the fragrance of a city before a sewage system was installed? An exhibit at the Historical Museum tells the tale of the toilet, sanitation and hygiene.
