President Obama is setting up a two-party panel to investigate the explosion and fire at the BP oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico which caused a catastrophic oil slick on April 20 th . Eleven people were killed in the accident, which inflicted serious damage on Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.
