UN-Pirates

A recent accident with the Russian Moskovsky Universitet tanker, hijacked on 5 May, once again proved that the problem of piracy should first of all be handled through the law. Last time, after the tanker was released, the pirates were freed because the international legislation lacks mechanisms which could be applied to put them on trial.
