Seven people including a child were killed and 22 hurt in a traffic accident involving a car, a bus and a minibus in Dagestan in the Russian Caucausus, emergency officials said Saturday.
The accident occurred at Makhatchkala, the Dagestan capital, when a car hit a bus travelling in the opposite direction, which then careered into a minibus, a statement said.
Some 30,000 people die in traffic accidents in Russia every year — one of the world’s highest rates, mainly due to drink driving and drivers flouting traffic rules.
