Russian scientific research meets the standards of advanced nations despite insufficient funding. This follows from a report that the Main Academic Secretary of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Full Member of the Academy Valery Kostiuk has delivered to the Academy’s general meeting on performance in 2009.
