The Palestinian leadership has expressed its readiness to resume US-mediated peace talks with Israel. After meeting with President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas and the US Middle East Envoy George Mitchell, Palestinian spokesman Saeb Erekat officially declared the start of negotiations.
