Pakistani warplanes bombed Taliban positions in the northwest on Sunday, killing at least 19 militants, Reuters news agency reported. Government forces have stepped up offensives in the Orakzai and Khyber regions on the Afghan border. However the local tribes and their leaders do not submit to the rulings of the central power which complicates the actions of the army.
