Russia opposes unilateral U.S. sanctions against Iran. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in his speech at the Federation Council on Thursday, reiterating Moscow’s position that countries that approved collective sanctions within the framework of the UN Security Council must not introduce any unilateral sanctions.
