President Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday promised to go skiing with outgoing California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in a jokey exchange via their Twitter accounts.
After the technology-savvy Russian president sent him a good luck message on leaving office, Schwarzenegger responded warmly: “Can’t wait to see you again – maybe skiing?” he suggested.
Medvedev, who has been photographed on the slopes of a Russian ski resort with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, promptly answered: “Thanks. We agreed – I remember. We’ll definitely find the time.”
Medvedev visited Silicon Valley in California with Schwarzenegger in June last year and cheesily promised the governor “I’ll be back,” borrowing the most famous line from the sci-fi drama “The Terminator” starring Schwarzenegger.
Schwarzenegger later pumped iron with Medvedev at a gym while visiting Moscow in October to discuss an ambitious plan to build a Russian rival to Silicon Valley.
