Kyrgyzstan on the brink of civil war

The Collective Security Treaty Organization finds it unnecessary to bring in peace-keepers to Kyrgyzstan and leaves it to the republic’s government to handle the crisis. A statement to that effect was made by the Organization’s General Secretary Nikolai Bordyuzha at a news conference in Moscow.
