The death toll of street violence in the Kyrgyz regional center Osh, 600 kilometres south of the capital city Bishkek, violence arising from interethnic clashes and mass-scale riots, pogroms and arsons of houses, shops and marketplaces, has exceeded 50. Almost 700 sought medical assistance.
