Kyrgyz interim government asks for Russian peacekeepers

Kyrgyzstan’s interim government has asked Russia to send peacekeepers to the Central Asian republic.The Bishkek government has thus actually recognized its inability to cope on its own with the bloody interethnic riots that have swept Kyrgyzstan recently. Yesterday the wave of violent unrest reached the capital city Bishkek.
