Kyrgyz government asks Latvia to arrest son of ousted president

The new Kyrgyz authorities have asked Latvian prosecutors to arrest the younger son of ousted Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Maxim, who is allegedly hiding in the Baltic state. Under his father Maxim Bakiyev was head of the national agency for development, investnments and innovations. The Kyrgyz government accuses him of embezzling millions of dollars of a loan from Russia.
