Japan has launched its first research space vehicle to Venus, RIA-Novosti reported. The Akatsuki vehicle will be delivered to the orbit by an H-IIA rocket. It will take 6 months for the vehicle to approach the orbit of Venus, which is the closest planet to Earth.
