The situation in the Kyrgyz southern city of Jalalabad is reported to have stabilized but it remains tense in ex-President Bakiyev’s home Suzak District, where unknown campaigners are rallying for looting Uzbek properties. Reports by ITAR-TASS say specially formed groups of Kyrgyz and Uzbek representatives are appealing to the public to stay calm and resist the provocations.
