Iraqi authorities start security wall construction around Baghdad

Iraqi authorities have started the construction of a security fence around the capital Baghdad, RIA-Novosti reported referring to the statement of Major General Qassim Atta made late Monday. The concrete fence with eight checkpoints is to be completed in mid-2011. It will be possible to enter the Iraqi capital only via one of these checkpoints.
