A decapitated head belonging to the director of a former military airport in Russia was found in a plastic bag near the capital, a report said Saturday.
The head was identified as belonging to Anton Kulikov, former director of Chkalovski military airport in the Moscow region that is also a major transport base, the Ria Novosti news agency said.
Authorities opened an investigation following the gruesome discovery by a walker and were searching for the remaining body parts, the report said.
Investigators said Kulikov was likely involved in a business dispute.
In 2009 the director was charged with corruption, according to media.
