Ecologists concerned about mass-scale use of chemicals for oil slick

Ecologists have voiced concern about the mass-scale use of chemicals to cope with the Gulf of Mexico oil slick. This came in a statement by a leader of the World Wildlife Foundation, Russia Alexei Knizhnikov. According to his estimates, up to 800 tonnes of crude oil are gushed out into the ocean every 24 hours.
