Duma Gets Kremlin’s Bill on Sick Prisoners

A Kremlin-drafted bill allowing the release of suspects with grave illnesses from pretrial detention was forwarded to the State Duma. But the bill failed to impress rights defenders, as it doesn’t make the release of ill detainees mandatory.
