Czar Alexey Romanov’s palace in Kolomenskoye was built in 1676 and was a gem of the royal suburban residence for a hundred years. Afterwards, by order of Empress Catherine the Great, it was pulled down “;due to a poor shape of repair”;. But the legend about the 8th Wonder of the World remained.
